What is CCPD?
Continuous cycler-assisted peritoneal dialysis (CCPD) is a similar dialysis treatment to CAPD, but this time it involves a machine.
A machine called a cycler fills and empties your pertioneal cavity three to five times during the night. In the morning, you begin the day with fresh solution. You may leave this solution in your pertioneum all day or do one exchange in the middle of the afternoon without the machine.
