Staff In-Center
Dialysis

On Premises Personnel

Staff in-center hemodialysis is a treatment for kidney failure that is a process by which blood is filtered through an artifical kidney known as a dialyzer. The blood that remains after it is filtered is then returned to your body. This treatment type takes place in a dialysis clinic and is under the supervision of a care team.

If you decide in-center hemodialysis is right for you, you will normally go to a dialysis clinic 3 times a week for about 3 to 5 hours each treatment. The exact treatment schedule you are to adhere to will depend on the dialysis order your nephrologist prescribes.

Benefits of In-Center Hemodialysis

This treatment choice may be right for you if you want:

  • A dedicated care team of nurses and technicians
  • One centralized location for treatments, labs and check ups
  • Dialysis only occurs three days a week

What Should I Expect

Before each hemodialysis treatment, a few things are done to measure your health and adjust treatment to provide the best possible care.
